So this was the second film in a double feature at Noir City last weekend that featured two films I had not seen before. I had thought about going to MBT to catch the double but once I found the DVD for both films at my library I decided to save the $15 and trip.
Unlike the TRAPPED viewing, this movie would’ve been great to see on the big screen at MBT. I dig Alan as sorta a more goody two-shoes Dirty Harry type. He’ll do whatever it takes to catch the crooks but also falls for the nun. I like the dynamic between them; she’s pure of heart and he’s dark of heart.
Jack Webb is hilarious throughout as the suspicious criminal. Having both him and Harry Morgan would be considered stunt casting had the movie been made after Dragnet. Goddamn funny to see both as criminals here.
