Viewing Notes

Part of the MEGAZONE Anniversary Event on DKUTV. Haven’t seen this one so I’m glad they’re doing this event.

So the good guys are really the bad guys and the bad guys are really good guys except when they’re still bad guys. Gotta love anime based on manga for being so overly complicated and convoluted in the delivery. At its core this about video game jockeys being recruited to fight in real battles.

I’m less interested in the story of this trilogy but I love the animation style and how 80s everything is despite being the future. All the punk and metal nods are great along with the motorcycle obsession.
