For a film that lifting Fulci wholesale it’s a mystery as to why this is so bad. The premise is fine and even all the Fulci shots are nice but the execution is a drag. Would play better to a crowd than just by yourself at home. I like Marjoe and that he’s driving one of those weird Bradley GT sportcars. Practical FX are fine but nothing stellar.
Had they replaced this Hallmark Channel score with a real homage to Italo-horror it would have improved the movie dramatically. Also all the daytime scenes look awful. The transfer on Prime is the Code Red version which is scratchy. I know there was a recent Blu release by a genre label but I would not buy it. I’d rather get another Fulci flick I don’t own.
Broken record here but this is another one that should’ve been programmed by Terror in the Aisles by now.
