Viewing Notes

Mr. Vampire marathon rolls on via DKUTV. Whoa this is a full on action flick. I like this one more than the previous film. Has a cool villain / vampire and the special FX have improved since the first film.

Sadly our broadcast was marred by a bad Blu-ray upload that had the picture and sound unsynced for the final act, which is the best part of the movie. Bc of the subtitles you could still follow along but it was annoying. DKUTV said they would change to the dvd for the rebroadcast but I don’t think I’ll be up for that.

There’s a scene where they use live bats like hundreds of the them. Or maybe dozens but it just looks like a lot from how they filmed it. I was more worried about them getting stepped on during a big action sequence. Really like that they brought back Pauline Wong to be the main villain Devil Lady for this. She’s great!
