Final film the Mr Vampire marathon on DKUTV. This sequel is the least sequel of the 3 watched today. In fact, it works fine as a standalone. I like the rivalry between the monk and priest yet they have to work together once the vampire is unleashed. And he’s a tough bastard. The final act is pure action as the heroes try to stop him, ending with a fun practical FX sequence and freeze frame!
Given the unavailability of these films I’m surprised no western genre label has picked them up for a boxed set. These would be nice to have a great set w/plenty of extra content/commentaries. Would love to hear interviews with the actors involved.
