Finally catching up to this after noticing that my library had the blu-ray just sitting on the shelf in the drama section.
so this is comedy not horror? I can’t count this for my 31 in 31 challenge? Also Ryu Murakami wrote the book this based on??
Damn, that flew by!! Guess it hits credits before the 80 minute mark. Wow. So that is an interesting flick. I like it but wasn’t at all what I expected. I truly thought this was going to be a modern giallo. Rather it’s a dark comedy that evokes a giallo look (and sonically w/the Deep Red, Tenebre & Red Queen Kills Seven Times tunes). An S&M comedy! Okay! So yeah I guess this is horror-adjacent.
Fun movie that I wish I had seen in theater. I think MBT screened it at midnight one weekend. Skipped at FF. I gotta think the audience would be laughing along. I love that Mia Wasikowska took on this role.
Sad that the blu doesn’t have any extras. Would love a commentary and BTS featurette.
