Viewing Notes

Maybe bc I had low expectations going into this that I enjoyed it? I couldn’t tell you what happened in the first film but I like Jolie as Maleficent and Elle as her princess daughter. For a Disney family flick it gets pretty dark esp. when loads of fairies are murdered. The battle scenes were good and overall a nice looking fantasy flick, albeit a tired story of betrayal and unnecessary war between humans and outsiders. The message is rather thick. But that’s probably a positive thing for kids to see.
