Viewing Notes

One of the reasons I decided to do this double feature matinee at Pickwick was for this on the big screen. Not sure if I’ve seen it big.

A little surprised that this is only the second time I’ve logged this since I started logging films. Figured I’d seen it more times and possibly on the big screen by now (I know MBT was doing classic horror on the weekends one October years ago).

Movie looks tremendous on the megatheater screen at Pickwick. Like seeing it in IMAX. Lugosi really is excellent in this role and rather humorous. Seeing it this time gave me an even greater appreciation for the film and set design. Also love the movement in certain sequences like when the three vampire beauties slowly approach Renfield in the castle and Dracula has them back off. Also the mirror scene between Dracula and Mina and Van Helsing.
