This is an interesting alt-universe world where many of the women superheroes of the DC universe are teenagers attending Super Hero High along with only 3 teen boy heroes (Flash, Hal Jordan, and Beast Boy), which is very strange but hey guys what a situation.
It’s kinda like a Teen Titans story but all the women like Wonder Woman are teens. And a few villains are also present like Harley Quinn (still wit Tara Strong doing her voice) and Poison Ivy. I like Katana and Lady Shiva but they don’t much to do here. It’s mostly a story involving Supergirl and a couple of supervillains (Dark Opal and Eclipso) stealing some power gems to craft a weapon that will allow them to takeover the world.
This is a pretty good film based on the DC Super Hero Girls tv series. Has nice moments w/the characters and plenty of teen girl power. Fun spin on the DC universe and these characters including having Gorilla Grodd as one of the teachers. I’d like to see more of the films. Really love in the credits where they note all the creators for everyone featured. Very cool to see.
