Viewing Notes

I’m glad they make LEGO films based on DC Comics (and Marvel and Star Wars and and and…) but the downside is that they made two and half very good LEGO movies. So these DTV LEGO films can’t help but be compared to them and never come close to the cleverness or humor of those 2.5 theatrical releases. I’m happy these exist (the cast is solid retaining many of the regulars from the standard animated features/series) and if I had children I would absolutely own these and make them regular viewing over Paw Patrol or whatever else garbage is out there.

All that said, this movie is just okay and would be better, IMO, if it were a standard animated film (not LEGO). Altho I cannot ever imagine a story where Batman goes on vacation (+ with Nightwing and Batgirl leaving Superman in charge of Gotham and the Supes gets completely overwhelmed and embarrassed by Bats rogues gallery). *breath*

seriously Supes and Wonder Woman would mop the streets with these villains (Joker, Harley Quinn, Joker, Poison Ivy & Scarecrow). tbh this movie just makes me want to replay thru the Batman LEGO games.
