Yeah I don’t think these LEGO animated movies are for me. That’s despite loving the LEGO Movie 1 & 2. But these DC Comics (and the Star Wars ones, too) play more like the video game stories, like take all the cutscenes then sew them together into a 75min film. These just make me wanna play the games and not watch the movie, which isn’t all that great. Has some humor here and there but nah. This is probably why I’m lukewarm on the recent LEGO Batman film that went to theaters.
The story here is just too goofy and I found myself caring less and less as it went along. It looks nice and has solid voice acting but I’m gonna stick to the standard non-LEGO animated films.
