This is an odd one. The first half is so dull and full of histrionic drama between the characters I really didn’t want to finish the movie. Then some weird shit happens and it gets interesting but there’s no cohesion as to why or what is happening. I suppose the finale is the answer but it’s confusing up that point and perhaps knowing where it goes it might make for a better rewatch. Admittedly I was half checked out leading into the second half so I may have missed something. I do like Charlotte Atkinson in one of the primary roles. Also not sure why they retitled the film for Shudder to CHRISTMAS PRESENCE, which is just a shitty title. I couldn’t find it at first b/c I was looking for WHY HIDE.
