Viewing Notes

Another fun Sherlock Holmes tales from the Basil Rathbone. Instead of a train (Terror by Night) Holmes and Watson are on a ocean liner escorting a prince to Algiers. The chip is loaded w/a rogues gallery of assassins who want to kill the prince. There’s a fun gag where Holmes gets separated from Watson and presumed killed but of course that’s not the case when he reappears having thwarted the assassins again.

According to the restoration intro on another disc, this was the most heavily damaged print. He even mentions that it was a result of vinegar syndrome, which was amusing to hear.
