Requested this b/c it’s a Christmas movie! Man do I love a movie squarely set during Christmas (decorations, parties, etc) but not at all about Christmas. This is a really good movie… nay, great movie. Christopher Plummer channels his best sociopathic stalker / killer / robber for a very sinister role. His look here reminds me of an other actor or possibly a combination of two actors. Kinda like a James Ryan crossed w/a little Vincent Cassel manic yet controlled intensity. It’s brilliant.
Celine Lomez is a stunner. Kinda bananas that Elliot Gould is 40 years old when this was released (noted b/c some one calls him an “old man” in reference to him being w/Lomez’s character Elaine who I guess is much younger even tho she really doesn’t look it).
I believe Kino Lorber or another similar label just released this on Blu. It’s worth picking up.
