Viewing Notes

First in the Classic Cinemas movie series for the year (celebrating the best of the decade for the theme).

Was really cool to see this on the big screen again. As much as I do like this b&w version it’s mostly a novelty; some of it works nicely but I missed the rich colors that make the action and thrills so striking (like when they enter the sandstorm).

I’ve seen this film on the big screen more than any other in modern times and it still hasn’t failed to impress me. It’s a helluva a cinematic achievement and as close to perfect as it gets for an action thriller.
