Another film in the Cary Grant set I got from the library (needed it for only one title “My Favorite Wife” but figured I’d just watch ‘em all since I have the set).
This movie is nice bc it pairs Grant with Myrna Loy which is an age appropriate love interest (I think she’s a year younger than him IRL). They want a dream home out in the country and decide to raze an old home to build from scratch. Of course that presents a series of problems which is the main thrust of the story. It’s fine yet oddly there’s not a very good onscreen chemistry between Loy and Grant. Maybe I’m just too used to seeing the magic between her and William Powell.
