Yep! Was gonna slide into Weathering with You tonight until I found out they have regular showtimes starting tomorrow so this was the alternative.
While I cannot say this is a great movie it’s definitely an odd movie that I thoroughly enjoyed and would be down for a sequel. I read about no one laughing during their screenings but there were several loud laughs in my theater including me. There was a woman a few rows in front of me that laughed so hard at one moment she started coughing! I dunno if it’s that funny but surely there’s an audience for this and it’s not nearly as bad as all the reviews I’ve read/seen.
It’s odd to me that I have zero interest in the Lion King remake but totally into the talking animals in this movie. No clue why but just seems weird to me. My favorite thing was trying to guess which actor was each voice. Got only a few correct. Thought for sure it was Colin Firth for Barry the Tiger but it was Ralph Fiennes.
I do have questions… like what accent is RDJr doing?? Why to most of his animals have an American accent and/or slang/urban voice in the early 1900s? Still not exactly sure what the point of the main mystery/crime was w/the Queen.
