Super fun anthology featuring Peter Cushing as the feeble storyteller who shares three tales of feline horror with Ray Milland, who I think is his publisher. Really a must watch for anyone who has cats as a pet or loves cats. This is basically a cat revenge story and it’s rather funny to watch unfold.
Spoilers:
First tale is an old rich woman who plans to leave her wealth to her cats. The maid tries to get her will so that her bf, her son, can fuck with it so he gets the inheritance, ends up getting attacked by the cats who of course want the inheritance for themselves. Haha!
Second tales involves two sisters of which one bullies the other so the younger one does a satanic ritual to shrink her sister a la Incredible Shrinking Man so that her cat can terrorize her. It’s great!
Third tale features a ridiculous Donald Pleasence as an actor who stages the death of his wife but the stage cat who sees all is like “fuck that” and seeks revenge on him. Very fun!
Cushing ultimately succumbs to a cat attack b/c he shares these stories? I dunno why that had to happen but whateves. He looks rather disheveled for the role but I almost think he was like “oh another horror anthology? sure just pay me and I’ll show up.”
