Presidents Day…. why not
Welp I enjoyed this! It’s far from being very good but it takes some big swings and gets nutty in the final act. Kinda poops the bed but I like the ambition. Having grown up on the tv show I like that there’s a mixed bag of fantasies and tonally all over the place. That’s sorta what the original show was; romance, titillation, adventure and horror all thrown into a blender of stories each week.
I like Michael Pena a lot but he just doesn’t have the gravitas of Ricardo Montalban. I’d be totally down for a sequel. Bring in another director and mix it up.
