The kind of film I could see Vinegar Syndrome restoring and releasing. If they haven’t already. The transfer on Prime looks like an old VHS copy that was converted from a trashed print. Definitely gives a grindhouse appearance w/the scratches and scorches. The story is a bit dry w/all the government conspiracy machinations but I like the very 1970s looking aliens in shiny body suits.
The credits score sounds like Goblin (this is an Italian production after all). The score is actually by Marcello Giombini who also did the trippy music for Alfonso Brescia’s sci-fi flicks, which I fucking love and wish those would get a nice home video release. Giombini composed a wealth of music for Italian genre flicks. Not sure if any have been made available like Goblin’s work but they should be. Lots of fun movies in his resumĂ©.
