Viewing Notes

Fascinating to me that these type of movies were so popular in the 1980s. The teen on the run thriller! I can think of a half dozen or so despite not watching them during that decade (I think a lot of them appeared on HBO/Cinemax going into the 1990s). Movies like Out of Bounds, Hot Pursuit, and others that I can’t recall the name but I intend to look up. This one features Jason Bateman as the teen on the run from some gangsters after his parents disappear after some shady dealings with the mob. He’s quite fun in this role and very much a mini version of his adult self.

Fun movie that feels like a made-for-TV flick. Especially with those end credits over shots from the movie. Oh shit I just looked it up and it was an NBC movie! All adds up.
