Granted it’s a 3pm screening on a Friday but this multiplex is empty. This is the most empty I’ve seen it I think (a lot to do w/the current pandemic hitting this country). That said…
Some fucking seniors chose seats right next to mine in an otherwise empty theater??!? WHAT THE FUCK. Now the old lady starts coughing. Jesus people have some social consideration! Ugh
(Yes I moved to a different seat. tbh I hope they get offended by the movie and leave)
So this movie is p fun albeit on the nose in today's social political climate. I like that it pokes fun at both sides. While I enjoy how vicious this movie is (seriously, cast Emma Roberts and [redacted]) but all the obvious twists and turns make it a solid 6/10. However, Betty Gilpin elevates the entire thing and makes it an absolute must-see. She is awesome. I'd love to see a sequel with her. In fact, I may end up seeing this again if there aren't any new releases in the coming weeks. She's worth it.
Follow-up on the old assholes: I moved up two rows and I could still hear them talking loudly throughout the film to the point that I almost went down there to tell them to shut the fuck up. Also they were coughing loudly throughout the movie and did not leave.
If I'm not feeling well / coughing / whatever, I'm not gonna go to a public place knowing that others would be uncomfortable. Fuck those assholes.
note: this screening was right when the lockdown started in Illinois for the coronavirus pandemic. That’s why I was so annoying with these old ppl.
