Viewing Notes
Disappointing based on the premise. This isn’t a charming comedy drama about a Filipino American family. It’s a mean drama about a broken dysfunctional family. And not in a very entertaining way. Much of this including the acting feels like a stage play. There is little to be happy about in this and therefore I did not enjoy it.
Maybe it works for others and it is well made for a indie flick. It starts really good and has the Filipino flavor I wanted. Then it just veers into a rather dismal direction.
