Viewing Notes

Second feature in the Tomorrow Romance TV double feature watch party on KAST. It’s interesting that Jason Coffman programmed two films that he hadn’t seen before, which he never does for his TR movie marathons. He commented during the first movie, HorrorGirl, that for the next watch party he will chose films he’s seen.

Anyways, this is a good ole early 90s erotic thriller / demon flick starring Robert Forster. Having seen a few Forster films in the past year I guess he really was typecast into the role of burned out cop/detective in a action / horror film. This character is interchangeable with the others I’ve seen from this time period featuring him. Here he’s an ex-cop because he gets injured on the job and has to resign but he still wants to solve a mystery of a missing girl.

Young women are being plucked up by a modeling agency run by a demon woman. She likes to get busy with the models and the men. So for a large portion of this movie it’s just erotic thriller. Then the final act turns up the satan / demon stuff when the evil woman uses Forster’s son against him. Then it’s batshit crazy for the final sequence.

Up until that moment this is maybe a 4/10 with really only the sexy scenes being of any real interest. But when that kid flares up it goes into crazy town. So the film gets a ratings bump for making it worth the watch w/an entertaining payoff.

Another fun one to view with an audience even if we’re all remote on our laptops and adding comments in the live chat.
