This was the first movie in the Projection Booth weekly watch party on KAST. Wasn’t sure I was gonna stick around to watch this (after viewing the early screening of HOURGLASS SANATORIUM) but as Mike and others were chatting about it in the textbox prior to it starting, I decided it was something to see. Also couldn’t find it online (YT or otherwise).
This is pretty wild, very regional, horror flick where nearly every character speaks in sign language (there is a voice over for each acting speaking what each person is signing). The story is about a son of a preacher in a small Oregonian town that believes he’s infected w/some disease. At the same time there is a “deaf dracula” stalking the town and killing people. The thrust of the narrative is how are these two things related. As interesting as all this sounds, the movie is hampered by the usual low production values and wooden acting. But it is quite the novelty so I’m glad to have seen it.
