Viewing Notes

I like this premise, which borrows a bit from FREQUENCY and another film I’m forgetting. A hipster dude finds an old box in some ruins and is able to communicate with a girl living 100 years in the past at that same location. He leaves a note for her and she responds with a note when he returns to the box.

What I did not like is why they had this guy write in total dipshit modern lingo. For example, he places an instant camera in the box and tells her to take some photos because “that would be dope.” Jesus cripes is that dumb. Then when this guy and buddy have to act and delivery lines, it’s very obvious they cannot do this in a convincing way. It just looks like a when you have to do a short skit in your language class. Ah well.
