Every time I watch another Carroll Baker flick I hope it’s better than the last Carroll Baker flick yet it’s always the opposite. This certainly has the premise and story beats that make it sound like it would be interesting however it’s so poorly executed that results in a convoluted mess about chasing a stolen diamond. Based on the title and description I was hoping for another giallo or at least adjacent but it’s not despite the presence of George Hilton.
The decision to put a different wig on Baker in nearly scene is very distracting. I get why they did this—confuse the viewer on which character were supposed to think it is, Mary or Julie—but it’s more annoying.
