Momoko is an ordinary girl, living an ordinary life. Ordinary, that is, if you define ordinary as wearing elaborate lolita dresses from the Rococo period in 18th Century France. However, when punk girl and self-styled ‘Yanki’ Ichiko comes calling, her days as ‘ordinary’ are most certainly numbered…

Really regret not getting that Third Window Blu-ray when it was available. Just never expected it to go OOP so quickly. Hopefully some label picks up this title for re-release because it’s so damn good. Altho I haven’t seen this in 10+ years I always think of Anna Tsuchiya’s performance and how it basically put her on the map. She steals every scene and does so much with just her facial expressions. I know having a music career was a big deal for her but I wish she would’ve done more films. She has such a presence.
I think I have a DVD rip somewhere but I’m glad I watched the DKUTV broadcast bc I think Josef was using the Blu since it looked so good. Again, I used the new Twitch app for my TV and it looked great. Def the best live action film I’ve seen on my TV from DKU.
