Viewing Notes

Really dig the style of this film—the combination of the photography and the overall look & feel. I appreciate that they made the digital shoot appear like film to match the period (this is one of my minor pet peeves with period films shot on digital and generally looking too crisp). Here this effect really sets the tone.

The story is neat and does well to slowly drive up the tension to the finale. By the time they meet w/the older woman I was locked in. Very impressed by these filmmakers. Still bugs me that they can’t find more beatup vintage cars over the collector cars they use in these movies but I can live with it if the movie is good.

Wish I could’ve seen this on the big screen. In a different timeline this may have gotten a small release to theaters.
