Viewing Notes

I’d be okay if DKUTV played an installment from this series every Saturday night in their Japanese Sinema segment. This is cool story about how the yakuza want to develop an open market for their impoverished citizens post-war. Another yakuza gang wants to disrupt all that to create a black market for stolen goods. Ken Takakura is great as the stoic leader of his yakuza family. The finale sequence is fucking awesome.
