A young man (Yuan Man Meng) who is forbidden to study kung fu by his grandfather eventually branches out in search of someone to teach him. He encounters three teachers, who each instruct him in a different school of fighting. But when a mysterious killer murders each of the three teachers, the young man must use his newly learned fighting skills to avenge their deaths.

Solid “I must avenge my master” Kung fu flick. An aspiring Kung fu practitioner leaves home after his brother his killed to go on a journey to improve his abilities. He meets a series of Kung fu masters along the way that train him including the awesome Lily Li. In the end he gets to face the killer who carries the 8 daggers. Breezy and enjoyable. Just wish there was a better sense of time bc it feels like he’s getting all this training quickly and improved in a matter of weeks which isn’t likely. Or maybe it is in the Martial World?
