Rolling along on a bike or floating in a doctor’s office’s seasonal hamster display, Wheel Music explores the aesthetic feeling and social character of Sendagi, an old town in Tokyo under urban development in preparation for the planned Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Really adore this slice of life short film. In the intro the director Nao Yoshigai discussed how she would wander around her neighbor Sendagi, Tokyo and capture random things unique to that area on her iPhone. With the Olympics approaching she noted that things were changing and some things were disappearing. She wanted to make a movie to remember Sendagi. Another one of those totally relaxing and chill films of just streets and people and stores and animals that I could watch for hours.
