Viewing Notes

Dawned on me the other day that I hadn’t seen this. I skipped it during release bc I still hadn’t seen the original yet. Finally saw that at MBT in 35mm so about time I cross this Tony Scott flick off the unseen list.

——-

Lacks the cleverness of the original but Tony Scott makes a good looking movie and his actors are well lit. Sadly a few cracks in that screenplay keep it from being just above average. Both Denzel and Travolta are very good and keep this thing afloat. I like how thrilling Scott makes the most pedestrian of things like getting the money to the station.
