From the director of CANDYMAN, a based on a true events story from 1855 Japan. I laughed a lot (this is not a comedy). Often ridiculous story beats around this marathon to test the samurai of this Annaka village that gets threatened by assassins from Edo is some dopey ass stuff. But I went along for the ride and found it engaging enough despite all that. Danny Huston is probably the most ridiculous thing, however.
Leave to WellGoUSA to release yet another dvd with zero extras on it. Like other similar films I’m sure I would’ve found the making-of BTS material more interesting.
