Viewing Notes
Finally caught up with this after having seen the sequel to it in theater back in 2018. And like the sequel this one also leans hard into the comedy as well as being a pretty good murder mystery. The characters feel right out of a manga or anime in both their look and behavior. The humor is a bit much at times but I do like the chemistry between the two leads and how they go about solving this crime. What’s really cool is the on location filming in Bangkok. Some of it is truly incredible esp. during a car chase sequence (the chase isn’t so eventful it’s the area they are driving around that makes it neat). Really makes me want to go there (Thailand has long been on my short list of countries to visit).
