Viewing Notes
Loose Indian remake of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET called MAHAKAAL but 50 percent longer, of course. It starts as a near scene for scene remake then veers into its own thing with a few nods to the NOES series. Freddy’s glove is the biggest thing on display here and used quite often. A few song and dance numbers during the first half then it’s all serious the rest of the way. Some ppl really loved it but I didn’t get that much out of it and found it kinda dull overall. Still a strange flick that I’m glad to have seen. Just wish it had a little more kick and earned that 2:12 runtime.
