Wanted to check out this feature b/c I’ve seen it pop up on other film festival programs and it sounded interesting. It is very interesting despite being way too long for this type of flick - slasher horror. Also a super gay horror film which is kinda hilarious (gay filmmakers + gay cast). Has some solid kill scenes but gets confusing trying to do too much. And it’s too long… did I mention that? Really curious what fans of the drag queen shows will think of this one.
The filmmaker video comments at the end were cool. This is their first film and feature so they just went for it. That explains a lot of the little mistakes* and the overly long runtime and some of the convoluted plotting. But for a first feature film this is pretty cool. I hope they keep making movies!
*stuff like seeing the camera and crew in a reflection and concurrent scenes taking place during the day and night.
