This is a very enthusiastic 6 out of 10. Robbie Barnes is awesome as both director and lead actress here. It’s also pretty cool to find yet another indie filmmaker that’s part of the Ohio horror scene. In fact, she probably had a short at last year’s Nightmares Film Fest in Columbus (I saw a pic of her and Kinsley in front of the NFF banner on IMDb). I haven’t looked but I bet NFF is screening this at their virtual fest later this month.
This movie features two stories that cross each for a really fucked ending. One story has these fuckos that kidnap ppl and record snuff videos for online broadcasts. The other story, the main story, is the relationship between Barnes and Kinsley Funari and how it goes south b/c Funari is a fucking sociopath crazy person. Holy shit is she so annoying, too.
Seriously, I’m super impressed with Robbie Barnes. I wouldn’t mind owning this someday. I need to track down more of her work.
