Viewing Notes
Totally get what they were going for in this meta deconstruction of the slasher trope but it probably would’ve worked better to play it straight and not keep referencing “have you seen a slasher horror movie” repeatedly. The humor doesn’t really land but if it had been this young couple just watching the movie and the bumbling sheriffs taking it all seriously this could’ve been a neat little short.
Also a pet peeve is having actors play the role of law enforcement without grooming as officers or sheriffs in this case. The long hair tied in a bun just looks bad and lazy. I would’ve accepted the beards since they are sheriffs but the hair… nah. Either hire actors that look the part or groom them appropriately.
