Viewing Notes
Very season appropriate and one I’ve been wanting to revisit for a long time. Can also count it towards my 90s rewatch project.
Still a fun movie that I had forgotten was in fact a horror movie (thought it was one of those fake horror films where a real person was doing all the killer in disguise of the spooky legend). I like Depp here altho it’s still so cringy they push a romantic thing between his Crane and Christina Ricci’s character despite the 17 year age difference (she was 18 at the time of filming).
The supporting cast is really great and I completely forgot that Walken was in this as the horseman. The overall look is obviously a Burton hallmark but it does nail the period and season rather well without ever having to mention it in the movie.
