Viewing Notes

After a two month break I’m back on the RE wagon to finish out this series. Was recently inspired to get back to it bc of all the RE discussion in my TL since the new 4K box set just got released. Debating whether or not I need to get that but hoping it sticks around long enough for the day when I figure I want them bc I do love this franchise and I’m sure these movies look great in the 4K (the first movie in particular looks lousy on its Blu release). I will say that the blu for this installment looks pretty damn good and sounds amazing using all the channels rather well.

Still would put this one as my second favorite of the bunch bc of its “greatest hits” story bringing so many previous characters and scenarios back to the fold even tho Ali Larter is sorely missed. However, that silly outfit that Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) wears is awful. I love that Li Bingbing is in this and wished she was brought back for the Final Chapter.

BC noted that the next movie, THE FINAL CHAPTER, doesn’t address the cliffhanger of this movie which I guess I forget but I’m looking forward to revisiting even tho that’s my least favorite and the only one that I’ve only seen one time… can’t believe it’s already been 4 years since it was released.
