This is a 62 minute feature on the BACURAU dvd that provides an excellent glimpse into the filmmaking process for this movie. It’s just amazing to see how much work goes into making a movie even one that isn’t a huge hollywood blockbuster. Just watching all the setups for a small scene or one specific moment is really something esp. knowing how it all came together for the final product. Very cool to see Udo Kier running lines and taking direction for his scenes (there’s a great BTS sequence w/all the camera angles to capture the entire scene and it’s just magic how it came together). tbh the practical FX stuff made me a little nauseated. Don’t think I could do that kind of work even knowing it’s all fake.
