A young woman of considerable social standing receives a curse from a black magician that causes her her head to detach from her body and attack anyone in sight. A good wizard is able to limit the effects of the curse to effect her only on the 15th of each month, but when she falls in love, things get complicated.

First flick in Mike’s first watch party of 2021 via Kast! I didn’t want to miss this one bc it sounded so bonkers… and it is! A young woman gets cursed and transforms into an evil vampire-like witch on certain day of the month. Things get complicated when the woman falls in love, marries and has a baby. Some lovely, gory practical FX. Sadly this transfer was rather awful tho watchable on my macbook. It was one of those old prints where the subtitles are burned on the image like old HK imports on VHS or VCD. Then the image was cropped to 1.33:1 so some of the subtitles were clipped on either side. Not ideal! Would love to find an updated release of this if one exists.
