Final film of the Dark Star virtual event for me and one of the seven movies offered that I hadn’t seen. This is a decent drama about a young woman dealing with life after being disfigured, learning to accept her situation and moving on from it despite the challenges. Uncomfortable at times as one might expect. This story could apply to a variety of similar situations of hardship where this disfigurement is a literal depiction of those problems that many people deal with in their own lives whether it’s body dysphoria or something else.
