Viewing Notes

This Russian/Chinese co-production is a weird flick yet a very entertaining one. Also a movie that has you wondering if Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger were even on set together for their scenes “together” bc yeah. I wouldn’t be surprised if they shot separately since both are using stunt doubles for the fight.

The story is one steeped in Chinese lore about a dragon and those who can control it. There are these Black Wizards that are really well designed. Overall the digital VFX are p great as I would guess that nearly everything is digital except a few soundstage sets. Kind of amazing. I hate the dubbing and would love to see the original version in either Russian or Chinese (maybe both?).

Fun to see Rutger Hauer in a silly cameo.

This is another blu that I requested from the library last year probably 7 months ago or longer that finally arrived. Crazy!
