Viewing Notes

Decided to hit the matinee at the only theater doing matinees right now since we have another snowstorm hitting tomorrow. I like this movie and the position it takes. Carey Mulligan is a force. Quite an amazing cast overall. That said, I do have some minor things that stood to me that won’t go into here b/c spoilery. I’ll likely address those after another viewing whenever it hits streaming.

I do appreciate BJ calling out those classifying this as a rape/revenge flick. It’s not by definition but it is a revenge flick. Also, despite not knowing going into this movie it felt like a woman directed this and I was correct in that assumption. Refreshing!
