Found an old flyer for one of the monster movie marathons at the Portage Theater* that had this listed as one of the titles. Couldn’t recall if I had seen the movie (I didn’t go to this particular marathon) but did have it logged here. Just couldn’t remember a thing about it. Fortunately it’s on Prime. Threw it on tonight while working and didn’t really recall much about this. Looked like a Corman flick (it is) but had forgotten this was shot entirely in Deadwood, South Dakota, which is pretty neat. Sadly the film is a rather flat heist flick mixed with a b-grade cave monster for a lackluster result. The last few minutes are pretty lively, however.
Now I want to watch the other film (Ski Troop Attack) they shot in SD with the same cast/crew to maximize their trip. Gotta love Roger Corman!
*I really miss going to the Portage to watch a string of old b-movies on a Saturday afternoon. I’ve seen some wonderful old 50s flicks on the big screen there.
