Woke up way earlier than I anticipated and it was still dark outside so I decided to give this a whirl since it was just added to Shudder. Damn. This would’ve been a good one to see at a festival last year in theater with a capacity crowd. So unsettling.
Was able to view via my Roku much to my surprise and it looked really good. Sound design is excellent and definitely adds to the mood. Sadly around 70 minutes into the film I got the damn loading screen then kicked to the “check your connection” message. Tried restarting but still wouldn’t play. Really don’t know what the issue is but I’m looking forward to dumping this device and my router and starting over in the new place.
Has to finish the final 23 minutes on my phone. Clearly less than ideal for this movie particularly that finale.
