Viewing Notes

Almost exactly 10 years since the release of this movie (I saw it in 3D at Muvico in Feb 2011). Figured it was time to revisit plus I decided to do a Nicolas Cage project this year and had this one on hand in the new apartment.

What was particularly amusing about this viewing was that the story starts in Colorado and the baby is abducted in Loveland. So this really was an appropriate flick to view during my first stay as a CO resident.

My opinion hasn’t changed since that first viewing; the movie is fine. Cage is just okay but everyone around him is all in on this silly story making it very watchable. Fichtner seems to be having the most fun. Forgot how much Amber Heard had to be physical especially in the RV (she had two stunt women but still does a convincing job in the scenes where it’s her). Wish there was an isolated interview with her in the extras.
