This recent Lupin adventure is p much on par with his classic animated flicks. The modern animation style was jarring at first but once used to it, it’s decent tho it did have me missing that classic cel animation. Also not a fan of the English dub but I was forced to view it as it’s the default language on the movie and I didn’t have the remote control (it’s in Colorado) to switch it. There’s a much longer story* about hooking up an old DVD player to my old plasma TV but I’m not gonna go into that now. It’s just wild that some components were like this DVD player were crafted to be used w/a remote. Ah well.
*there is a JP language track which I figured there was since it’s a JP film. I put the DVD in another player I hooked up and played about 20 minutes or so in Japanese and it improved the movie a lot. I’ll have to revisit another day. Hopefully it shows up on streaming eventually.
